God is not just for Grown-ups
Knowing you are a child of God
-Gift of God-
is especially important to children,
Especially children who face their fears and hardships alone.
We hope you share these verses with the children in your family/church
We hope also that you will do your best to forward them...
to orphanages around the world...
especially Haiti and Africa.
We pray too that if you work with children in any way that you check out

Daily
"Pocket Scriptures".
A great way to give lonely children a sense of belonging.
A way to help children live above their circumstances
...no matter how bad those circumstances are.
What better gift could we give such a child than
a habit of starting and ending each day with a Bible verse.

This weeks verses are about
" God's Love for Children"

A good place to start is this week's
BULLETIN INSERT
Enough Bible verses ON ONE PAGE to last a child an entire week.
We hope you put them somewhere in the church,
somewhere Parents feel free to help themselves,
This weeks verses are about "Strength".
Click the image to print this weeks Take Home page.
Put them somewhere PARENTS will see them.

Try also our
"Scripture Strips"
Clicking the first strip downloads Child Friendly Verses from a variety of translations.
Clicking the second strip downloads optional questions to print on the back of the verses.
Clicking the third strip downloads verses from the King James Only.
This weeks verses are about "Living by God's Word".

This is what the NEW strips will look like.
Cut three strips lengthwise and send them home with the children.
If you are a parent snip off a verse a day.

This weeks bonus activity is a thought.
Use the life stories of Joseph, Moses, Daniel and Samuel to comfort children...
especially orphans and the children of divorce.

All four of these Bible Heroes had troubled childhoods and experienced the breakup of their families.
MOSES did not get to live with his parents, Daniel was sold into slavery, Samuel was taken from
his parents at age four, Joseph was sold into slavery by his brothers.
Clck here to print leaders guide.

The thought is that having family problems or no family or even a worse childhood
does not mean you are at the bottom of God's list.
It moves you right to the top. He PROMISES to be a Father to the Fatherless.
We hope and pray that all the most problemed children of the world learn the
stories of these four children.

A few questions you might ask after reading the stories.
1. Which of the four children did God speak too? (answer...all four.)

2. What did they do when they were afraid? (answer...they prayed.)

3. Did their problems mean they were at the bottom of God's list
or did having problems move God's heart to put them at the TOP of his list?

4. Would they have become leaders of their nation if they had not learned
to trust God even when their lives were very hard?

We don't promote products but for the "Hear me Read Books"
by Dr. Mary Mans Simons we will make an exception.
They are designed to be a child's first book...his or her "Learner" book.
Each of the books is an entire Bible Story told in 19-26 vocabulary words.
They are great for children who are learning to read.
If you know a missionary working with children we hope you forward this email.
If you can afford it mail them one or two of Dr. Simons very affordable little books.

We are not out to make money or collect your email address.
We just believe that starting each day with a Bible Verse in their pocket is good for children.
